Featured Artists:
pianist Mary Louise Knutson and saxophonist
Mary Petrich, in a quartet.

The piano has been a prominent instrument in jazz, as far back as
when Art Tatum tickled the ivory's. This performance will feature an
outstanding pianist, Mary Louise Knutson, who has been called "one
of the most exciting artists to happen to jazz piano in quite some
time." Receiving much recognition on the national music scene.
Knutson tours regularly with former Tonight Show bandleader,
trumpeter Doc Severinson, in a group that also includes
two-time Grammy-winner tenor saxophonist Ernie Watts.

We are very fortunate in have Mary Knutson make a visit to
Payson during her tour in Arizona. Ms. Knutson resides in Minneapolis.

For this performance, Knutson is teaming-up with one of the valley's
most prominent saxophone players, Mary Petrich, who over the past
20 years developed her own style of play, pushing the boundaries
of jazz, which has led to her many projects and collaborations,
such as this one with Knutson.

This will be a jazz performance designed to appeal to all audiences.
Sean Brogan will play acoustic bass, and Gerry Reynolds will play drums.
More information will be forthcoming in the weeks ahead.
